Anna Stacy Poteet had never really given much thought to infant feeding issues until she experienced it for herself. The photographer from Chattanooga, Tennessee became invested in the topic when her own 4-month-old daughter was having problems eating. As a result, she also had a difficult time gaining weight.

At first, she tried to fight through it with her daughter. Finally, her child's doctor recommended that they use a feeding tube to try to get her baby the nutrition that she needed to thrive and grow.

There are a variety of reasons why babies may be fed by a tube. Some possible reasons include food allergies, acid reflux, improper swallowing reflexes, pickiness, and more.

After experiencing tube feeding for herself, Anna wanted to use her photography talents to stage a special kind of baby photoshoot. She knew that she could spread awareness about the different ways that babies can be fed other than just breastfeeding.

Anna went on Facebook to post a call for local moms who might be interested in participating in this nontraditional photo shoot with their babies. The night before the scheduled shoot, Anna was nervous that none of the moms who expressed interested would show up.

However, three moms did attend the shoot. All of their babies were fed through special feeding tubes. This unique photo shoot resulted in some amazing shots and the images quickly went viral, garnering support from people from all over the nation.

What a beautiful way to celebrate that it does not matter how you feed your baby as long as they get the love and nutrition that they need. Rather than tear moms down, we should support them at all times.

After you have looked through these thoughtful photos, be sure to spread the message to others that you know. Every mom can use this sort of positive encouragement.
