People Are Calling Out J.Lo And Shakira For Their 'Vulgar Outfits And Dance Moves' At Super Bowl

After the announcement last year that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira would perform at the Super Bowl together, everybody expected something spectacular. And we certainly got it. The halftime show was energetic, full of extravagant dance moves and wonderful singing. Unfortunately, some of those dance moves and the stars' outfits drew some negative comments.

There's no question that both stars were completely dazzling. Their performance was spot on, the show was great and let's not talk about their respective ages. Better not draw attention to the fact that those two ladies look better at 43 and 50 than most of us do or did at 35.

Nobody disputes that both women showed a lot of talent during their show, but some people are arguing that it was not appropriate for the Super Bowl. The first thing some people mention are the "vulgar" outfits both stars wore. To put it simply: A lot of people think they were showing too much skin, especially for something little children were also watching. Even more people are talking about Jennifer Lopez' pole dancing, which was maybe a bit risqué.

Then again, there's also people who claim the opposite: that the show was just fine as it was and that the performance was simply stunning. The outfits were showing some skin, yes, but all the important bits were sufficiently covered. And since it's 2020, shouldn't we be alright with women showing a little bit of leg?

In the end, this might be something where opinions just differ. Whether small children even understood that the performance might have sexual undertones is also up for discussion. In quite a lot of cases, this will have slipped right past younger viewers. Still, there's no arguing that the show, while dazzling and entertaining, was also a bit sexy.
