In a statement released shortly after Archie’s birth, Prince Harry told the media of the blessed event. Harry said that the birth of Archie was an exciting moment for the royal couple and that Meghan and little Archie are doing fine.

To help commemorate baby Archie’s birth, a nurse in San Francisco began knitting special gifts for each of the babies born in her maternity ward.

June Shiraki, a nurse who works at the Van Ness Campus of the California Pacific Medical Center, also known as CPMC, knows what it takes to care for a newborn baby.

Throughout the last seven years, June has shown her care and devotion to each of her littlest patients by crocheting special beanies for them.

The beanies are essential to infant care as the newborn babies’ hairless heads are very frail and susceptible to the cold. When June heard that Prince Harry and Meghan had welcomed their child, she decided to crochet a special pattern for the beanies of babies born on May 6.

The nine children born at CPMC that day, eight girls and one boy, all got beanies crocheted to look like golden crowns. News of June’s action quickly became a viral hit, with internet users celebrating the nurse’s amazing skills.

The parents of the children are also chiming-in, telling reporters how cute and memorable the beanies are for their children, who will always be royalty in the eyes of their families.

What do you think of Nurse June Shiraki’s action in crocheting beanies in the shape of crowns to commemorate the birth of the new royal baby? Are you excited to see what the future holds for baby Archie and the rest of the British royal family?
