Paul McCartney’s 3rd Wife Got His Kids’ Seal Of Approval After His Daughter Tried To Split Him & 2nd Wife Apart

Paul McCartney is one of the UK's national treasures, earning his name with one of the most popular bands of all time, The Beatles, and never slowing down, even in his successful solo career.

For anyone who has been living under a rock since the 1960s, Paul was one of the members of The Beatles, who are often considered the most influential band in pop music history ever. That's no small feat. Despite only being active for 10 years together, the "Fab Four" from Liverpool, England, clearly left an indelible mark on music history and pop culture.

While his Beatles days might be behind him, Paul does make it a point to carry on the legacy of the beloved band, as well as its late members, John Lennon and George Harrison. The songwriting partnership between Paul and Lennon was iconic and is still considered to be one of the most fruitful musical pairings in history. The Beatles as a band are the best-selling music act of all time, having sold 183 million units in the US and an estimated 600 million units globally.

After the Beatles dissolved, Paul launched a solo music career and formed other bands, including with his late wife, Linda McCartney. As a couple, they had four children together, one of whom is daughter Stella McCartney, who is a well-known fashion designer in her own right. Meanwhile, another daughter, Mary McCartney, followed in her mother's footsteps and became a photographer. However, Linda tragically passed in 1998 from cancer.

It would take years before Paul would find love again, although he has had some strikes in the romance department. Fortunately, the musician would hit the jackpot with his latest love and current wife, who is so far removed from his world of superstardom and music glory.

Famously from Liverpool, England, Paul was born on June 18, 1942. After forming The Beatles in 1960 in their hometown, the band went on to incredible success, both commercially and critically — you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn't heard of The Beatles!

Being such a beloved public figure, it’s easy to see why he is also popular with women. Beatlemania was renowned for sending crowds of young women into a frenzy. While that kind of enthusiasm has dampened a bit as time has gone by, Paul managed to find love again after his first wife’s passing with former model Heather Mills, whom he married in 2002. The pair were famously dogged by the media throughout their relationship and even after they divorced in March 2008, with much attention paid to the $48.7 million divorce settlement Mills received. Prior to their split, the couple welcomed a child – Beatrice – in 2003.

In 2008, Mills revealed Paul's daughter Stella was fervently opposed to their marriage. According to HuffPost, Mills claimed Stella was fearful of losing “all the planes and the diamonds." She added:

"Every single week, Stella tried to break up our marriage. She was so jealous. … Stella wasn't interested in her dad's happiness. I can't protect her any longer... she's done some evil, evil things.”

With so much of the world’s spotlight on Paul – not to mention his children’s judgment – about whoever was to be on his arm, it may seem like a fool’s errand for him to keep searching for the one. However, in 2007, reports would surface of budding love between the music icon and a pretty much unknown woman.

It was soon revealed that Paul was dating Nancy Shevell, an American businesswoman from New Jersey. The press went wild trying to dig up all they could on Shevell, especially for any salacious news but were left disappointed. Shevell was a trucking executive working for a family-owned conglomerate who happened to be Paul's neighbor in the Hamptons.

Unlike Mills, Shevell received Stella’s seal of approval while still dating her dad. In 2009, the fashion designer was reportedly seen at a New York City gala linking arms with Shevell and enjoying a few laughs. “She’s thrilled for her father,” People reported a source as saying. Meanwhile, Paul's son James said in 2013 he considered Shevell his “new mother” and that, “She makes Dad very, very happy. We all adore her.”

They married in October 2011 at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, in London, where Paul had also traded vows with Linda. Many described the couple as laid-back and enamored with one another. “They were lovely, very relaxed and very charming and clearly in love with each other,” one councilwoman described the pair during their marriage preparations. The wedding ceremony also brought together Paul's children; Stella designed the bride and groom’s outfits, Mary took wedding photographs and Beatrice served as a flower girl. The ceremony was performed in front of a modest 30 guests, although scores of paparazzi awaited the couple’s exit outside the hall.

Since the wedding, the happy couple has been spotted numerous times with Stella at public events, although they generally keep things low-key. However, in October 2021, Paul posted a rare social media tribute to Shevell, where he wrote: “10 beautiful years together. Happy Anniversary to my lovely wife. – Paul.”
