Patrick Swayze Was A Talented Singer In Addition To His Dancing Prowess

Feb 28, 2020 by apost team

Patrick Swayze indeed had it all! His unparalleled dancing skills alone, which he first exhibited in the 1987 summer blockbuster, "Dirty Dancing," made him an icon. No-one will ever forget his stellar acting performance in "Ghost" just 3 years later either. And who hasn't seen each movie at least once?

When he danced with his beautiful wife Lisa to Whitney Houston's "All the Man That I Need" at the 1994 World Music Awards, everyone was once again captivated by his talent.

Women immediately fell in love with him. Not only did he have knock-out looks, but his strong masculinity combined with a gentle charm and grace made women swoon. For his natural talents and ability to enrapture women, he was the envy of just about every man during the '80s and '90s.

His dancing and acting skills were so extraordinary that his musical abilities take a backseat in our remembrances of him, but Patrick Swayze also had a beautiful singing voice. We all remember his powerful contribution to the "Dirty Dancing" soundtrack "She's Like the Wind."

Those lucky enough to hear it live at a Roy Orbison tribute and benefit concert for the homeless in 1990 will never forget how Swayze and his good friend, Larry Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers, rocked the house with their rendition "Love Hurts."

After a courageous two-year fight with pancreatic cancer, this beloved performer was taken from us during the throes of an already dreary, bleak winter in January of 2008. His memory will live on forever through his dancing, his acting, and his music.
