Patient Shelter Cat Finally Finds Love And Happiness With Young Special Needs Girl

Despite their bad reputations, cats are loving at heart. Their love is also blind, meaning that they don’t care about what you look like, what your health is like, or what you do for a living. No matter what your circumstances are, you’ll find loyalty within a cat. Their loyalty also means that you’ll get loads of cuddles and affection if you treat them well!

A cat named Lou was living his life in a shelter before he got the opportunity of a lifetime. He had been waiting out his days patiently, hoping for a family to come by that he could call his own. He was being kept at the Lorca Animal Shelter, located in Spain, and the volunteers who helped out there noted that Lou was especially affectionate and friendly.

But despite his optimistic attitude and cute exterior, he just couldn’t find a home.

However, Lou’s life changed forever when he met Isa Gonzales Asensio.

Isa is the mother of a 14-year-old named Laura who happens to have special needs. Laura’s diagnosis is a rare blood disorder that has negative impacts on both her neurological as well as her physical development. Thankfully, Isa knew exactly what her daughter needed to be more optimistic about her situation: a furry friend!

Isa came into the shelter seeking out a pet that would be therapeutic to Laura. And as soon as Isa saw Lou, the rest was history! She brought Lou home to meet his new best friend, and thankfully she recorded the reaction so that others could share in the joy.

It’s footage so adorable you have to see it for yourself to believe it!

The very first day they met, Laura and Lou already formed such a unique and close bond. In the short clip of them that Isa posted online, you can see the two cuddling up while Laura grins with the happiest look on her face you’ve ever seen.

Her arms wrap around the adorable feline, giving him all of the pets that he’s ever wanted since his lonely days in the shelter. In fact, the shelter was so happy to see Lou acclimating quickly in his new home that they shared the video, stating that through all of his days, he had been waiting for Laura:

"We did not understand how Lou could not find a family because he was such a docile and affectionate cat. Now we understand everything, he was waiting for Laura", the shelter commented on their social media page.
