Sajak returned to the show and received a standing ovation from the audience. Now that Sajak returned White was able to go back to her letter-turning responsibilities. Sajak joked, "I don't know whether you're happy to see me or if you're leaving because Vanna's not hosting."

White admitted upon Sajack returning that she was "very nervous" about filling his shoes as the main host. However, Sajak relieved her worries and said, "You were great. It's a very tough thing to step into that...you were terrific."

Last year Sajak was awarded a Guinness World Record title for having the longest career as a game show host of the same show. Sajak has been hosting the show for 38 years. Lending the position to White was definitely new for Sajak and White.

White wrote on Instagram while Sajak was recovering, "Wheel without Pat is like a word without vowels. I’ll fill in the blanks until you return. Rest up and we’ll be solving puzzles in no time. (Don’t worry, your job is safe! Well, pretty safe.)"

Sajak's daughter made a guest appearance on the show to fill in White's spot as letter-turner and the doting dad couldn't have been more proud. He wrote on Twitter about his daughter Maggie, "It’s hard to express just how proud I am of my daughter, Maggie, for her poised and professional work on “Wheel” this past week."
