Pamela Anderson Reveals Her ‘Real’ Feelings About Liam Neeson After Being Introduced as the ‘Future Mrs. Neeson’

Pamela Anderson is standing in a very different place than she was just a few years ago, and even she seems surprised by how much her life has shifted. At 58, the actress, activist, and entrepreneur is experiencing what feels like a creative renaissance, marked by bold choices, renewed confidence, and a string of projects that have reframed how the world sees her. 

In 2023, Anderson began reclaiming her narrative with the release of her bestselling memoir, "Love, Pamela," and the deeply personal Netflix documentary “Pamela, A Love Story.” Both projects revealed a woman eager to be understood beyond the image that once defined her. “I could watch a little bit of it, and then I’m in tears,” she says of the documentary. Anderson continues: “Some things you move on from.”

Since then, the surprises have kept coming. Her nuanced performance in “The Last Showgirl” earned critical praise and award nominations, opening doors she says had never been available to her before: “I’d never been offered a good script.” She admits: “To feel that feeling of ‘I’m the only one that could do this’ — I had that.” She followed it with a turn in the box office hit “The Naked Gun,” reminding audiences of her sharp comedic instincts.

Even her appearance reflects this new chapter. Anderson recently debuted red hair for an upcoming role, calling the change “another form of freedom.” She stated: “I’m making the choices in my career and the way I look,” she then continued, “I’m in control of my own life.”

And just when it seemed this year could not deliver another surprise, she found herself at the center of unexpected romance rumors with her “The Naked Gun” co-star, Liam Neeson.

Speculation about Anderson and Neeson’s alleged relationship began quietly, then grew louder as the two promoted “The Naked Gun” together. Now, Anderson is setting the record straight about what really happened between them. She revealed to PEOPLE:

“If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming.”

In another statement to PEOPLE, Anderson described Neeson as “the perfect gentleman,” noting that he brings out the best in people. Their connection unfolded away from cameras and red carpets. Anderson recalled spending what she calls an “intimate week” at Liam’s home in upstate New York. She stated, “I had my own room,” and continued, “Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.” 

During that time, they shared simple moments, from dinners at a small French restaurant where Neeson introduced her as the “future Mrs. Neeson,” to quiet afternoons in his garden. Anderson said: “I tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint,” and continued, “I was happy to help, and he appreciated.”

The romance, however, was brief. After what Anderson described as their “lost week,” the two returned to their respective projects. When they reunited later to promote the film, their bond remained warm but had shifted. She admitted: “We were having fun,” and continued addressing rumors that the relationship was staged: “I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.’”

Still, Anderson is clear about where things stand now. She confessed, “I adore Liam,” and continued, “but we are better friends, in full honesty.” She added that Neeson has been deeply supportive of her career resurgence: “He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me.”
