Born on July 1, 1967, Anderson grew up in the small town of Ladysmith in British Columbia, Canada. First discovered while at a football game in Vancouver, she posed for the cover of the October 1989 issue of Playboy magazine. Her appearances in Playboy helped launch her career and led to her becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry.

In 1992, Anderson landed her breakout role as C.J. Parker on “Baywatch.” The show was a huge success, and her portrayal of the lifeguard became iconic in the 1990s. Anderson’s success on “Baywatch” led to several film and television roles, including the lead role in the television series “V.I.P.” and appearances in movies such as “Barb Wire” and “Scary Movie 3.”

Anderson has also been active in animal rights and environmental activism. She has supported organizations such as PETA and Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and has been vocal about issues such as animal testing and the use of fur in fashion.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to explain Anderson’s appeal. She was the epitome of every man’s dream girl with her delicate features, big, beautiful smile, and flowing blonde hair. For women, she launched various beauty trends such as tousled hair, overlined lips, smoky eyes, and pencil-thin eyebrows. She revealed that while she understood why the media made so much of her looks, she never felt exceptional.

“I never thought I was a great-looking person or a great-looking woman,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. She added, “I was really comfortable in my skin and I didn’t care so much. I thought, nobody’s perfect and imperfections are sexy.”

For someone who used to court so much attention for her looks, Anderson isn’t afraid to see it change. 

“Aging isn’t a scary thing for me,” she told the publication. “You’re just as old as you feel… I think good relationships and having positive people around you, people that really embrace who you are as a person, is really uplifting and anti-aging, you know? Aging happens when you’re stressed and worried and jealous, or angry or bitter about your life.”

During an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, Anderson – who, in 1999, famously reversed her breast augmentation that had garnered so much fame – delved deeper into her views on aging.

“I never felt like I was any kind of great beauty, ever, no. Just a little funny-looking,” she revealed, and added, “I can’t wait to see myself old.”

She also said that she would recognize herself looking old in the mirror. Anderson confessed that it’s her “comfortable kind of state” because she has let her hair go natural gray, worn a little straw hat, and gone bare-faced.

In February 2023, Anderson did the unthinkable for a celebrity her age – she appeared on a cover shoot without any makeup. The stunning bare-faced photos published by Women’s Wear Daily showed off the star’s natural beauty, including her adorable freckles and glowing skin. The 56-year-old looked gorgeous and happy as she posed in outfits by Jil Sander, Victoria Beckham, and Rick Owens. 

With the photos, Anderson proved to the world she didn’t need makeup to feel comfortable in her skin, something she said as much to the outlet.

“I really feel powerful right now when everything’s very pared down. I like to see my freckles. I like when my hair isn’t done. I like just a really fresh face. I don’t like those injections, and that doesn’t work on me. I want to see what’s going to happen. … I’m accepting myself a lot more these days, and it feels great,” she told the publication. 

It’s unfortunate that many women feel the need to always wear makeup to meet beauty and societal standards, which can lead to issues with self-esteem and confidence. However, Anderson believes the best beauty trick she could share is being happy and brave. 

“Happiness is the best beauty trick. Being brave is sexy. Feeling the fear and doing it anyway. Fighting for freedom starts with one’s own freedom. It is a condition when fighting for others freedom. It is a political statement to be happy, to be alive,” she told Entertainment Online.

She also spoke about aging with Howard Stern on his show. When asked about her thoughts on aging, she had this to say: 

“I’m not going to worry about it. We all want to look the best we can look, but I’ve never really been a big worrier about that,” she admitted.

Anderson’s personal life has been a rollercoaster ride. She has experienced her fair share of romance and heartache, including a wild relationship with Tommy Lee, the father of her children. He is most famous for being one of the founding members of Motley Crue and the band’s drummer. 

Anderson and Lee married on Feb. 19, 1995, after only knowing each other for four days. Their love was passionate, and they started a family together quickly after tying the knot. Their first son, Brandon Thomas Lee, was born on June 5, 1996. Their second, Dylan Jagger Lee, was born on Dec. 29, 1997. Unfortunately, the relationship ended almost as quickly as it began, with the couple divorcing in 1998.

Her fallout with Lee didn’t stop Anderson from finding new love. She got engaged to model Marcus Schenkenberg shortly after divorcing Lee, but the couple broke up in 2001. She also went through a rollercoaster relationship with musician Kid Rock, getting engaged, breaking up, and finally getting back together and tying the knot in 2006. They married on a yacht near Saint-Tropez, France, but divorced just a year later. 

Anderson kept her heart open as she engaged in a new relationship with Rick Salomon. The couple married in October 2007, but the marriage was annulled just a few months later. They remarried a few years later but then again divorced, finalizing the end of their relationship in 2015.

Lee still worked at being a father despite his troubling relationship with Anderson and some personal struggles he was dealing with. 

“The boys miss Pam and me together,” he said during an interview with People Magazine in 2005. “When we’re together, they’re so happy. At the end of the day, that’s truly what my heart wants. I want us all to be together.”

Anderson married her bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst, on Dec. 24, 2020, but divorced in 2022.  

While she may live apart from her grown children, Anderson’s love for them is still incredibly strong. In May 2015, Anderson appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and talked about how stunning her boys grew up to be, inside and out. 

“They’re genetically loaded,” she said about her children.

She went on to talk about how much they both have started to look more like their father. Thankfully, the pair of now-men are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

“They’re real sweethearts,” Anderson said about them.

During an interview with TODAY in September 2015, she talked about how she tried to protect her children from the spotlight so they could have a normal childhood. 

“They’re going to make their own choices for the rest of their lives, and it wouldn’t be their choices if we were dragging them down red carpets,” Anderson said about her and Lee’s choice of raising their children together. 

When her oldest son turned 18, she took him to his first red carpet.

“He got so much attention,” Anderson said.

This even inspired him to want to become an entertainer like his parents and venture into acting.

Brandon followed his dreams and started a career in acting. He has been in a few films and television series, such as the Netflix film “Sierra Burgess is a Loser.” He also starred in a reality series, “The Hills: New Beginnings,” a revamped edition of the show. 

The time on this series helped launch Brandon as the latest breakout star. While he may have been the youngest castmate and one of the new additions to the show, he already had some friends before filming began. 

Anderson made headlines at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty because of her appearance and date to the A-list gathering. 

Social media users were ruthless in their opinions about Anderson, with many complaining that she didn’t bother to appear glamorous at the annual star-studded event. 

A stark contrast to her old looks and fashion choices, Anderson was covered in a gold and yellow floral gown. However, in an event where everyone was expected to be all glammed up and get their hair done, Anderson went with a bare-faced look and undone hair. 

“She didn’t even get her hair done?! Nothing wrong with some lipstick and mascara,” a user said on Facebook. 

“Well her outfit did nothing for her. It looks like something from the 70’s. You can go looking all natural, but a pretty dress sure would have helped,” another commented. 

“I get the ‘no makeup’ but she could have had her hair done and picked a decent dress,” one echoed. 

While some praised her for making a “fearless” move by not subjecting herself to beauty standards, many were far more delighted to see Anderson’s date at the event – her son, Brandon. 

“Bare face is our real face, she looks so good and glowing ❤,” a user wrote on Instagram. “She looks great no makeup needed.” 

Many also noted how Brandon looked more and more like his father, Lee. 

“She looked Beautiful! He looked very handsome!! What an adorable Mom and Son Duo! Love them!” one said on Facebook, while another said “Brandon looks alot like his dad.”

“Brandon who is 27 years old. looks more healthy than Tommy Lee ever did even at that age,” a fan compared.
