In an exclusive interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday morning, former Black Sabbath frontman and "Prince of darkness" Ozzy Osbourned opened up about his news with his wife Sharon beside him. He spoke about a fall he had in February that then required a great deal of care including surgery on his neck that subsequently interfered with his nerves.

While recovering from that fall, he also learned that he has PRKN 2, a form of Parkinson’s disease. Sharon explained the diagnosis on GMA: “It's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination but it does affect the nerves in your body. It's like you'll have a good day, then a good day and then a really bad day.”

Ozzy stated that he is now on a whole host of medications as he recovers at home after canceling his world tour. He continues to be on the mend, and Sharon mentioned it is the longest stretch that he’s been at home. It’s a much-needed rest time, but they both said that Ozzy absolutely needs to be out on the road with his fans and looks forward to recovering and being on tour again.

"[My fans] are my air, you know," Ozzy said on GMA. "I feel better. I've owned up to the fact that I have – a case of Parkinson's. And I just hope they hang on and they're there for me because I need them."

It has been an extremely difficult time for the Osbournes, even after all of the trials and tribulations Ozzy has been through as the singer of a rock band who has publicly struggled with drug addiction. In fact, Ozzy said that the recovery time has made 2019 the "Worst, longest, most painful, miserable year of my life."

Ozzy and Sharon’s two kids Jack, 34, and Kelly, 35, also sat for an interview with their parents and opened up about the difficulties they were all facing as a family, but they remained optimistic. “We've all learned so much about each other again – and it's reaffirmed how strong we are,” Kelly reflected in their GMA interview.

Although Sharon had to say it through tears, she said, "He's going to get back out there and he's going to do what he loves to do. I know it." The rock legend is doing what he can to get back on his feet again, and even produced new music called "Ordinary Man," that will be coming out next month.
