Wilson is currently starring as Mobius on the series “Loki.” He acts alongside Tom Hiddleston who plays the title character. The humorous Wilson shared with NPR:

“I'm working on this Marvel thing with Tom Hiddleston. And he quoted something the other day. And I was saying, oh, is that Shakespeare? He said, yes, it's from ‘Hamlet.’ I said, have you played Hamlet? And he had with Kenneth Branagh. And, you know, what an incredible, rewarding experience that was for him. And then, you know, because he's such a polite guy, after sort of that, there's a little bit of a pause. And then he said – have you ever played Hamlet? And I thought that was such a nice thing that someone would, you know, believe.”

The star also admitted that he didn’t know much about the marvel movies before filming “Loki.” “They asked me a lot about—‘It sounds like you had to be convinced to do this.’ I don’t know where they’re getting that. That isn’t true. The director just called me and told me the idea, and I wanted to work on it. But somehow what seems to be in their press notes, maybe, is that I know zero about the MCU. I don’t know a ton about it,” admits Wilson.

Wilson also joked about other superhero films like “Aquaman.” He added: “Actually, yeah, I probably don’t know that much about it. I kind of know about Iron Man. I’ve seen Aquaman. He’s swimming in jeans. No one can swim in jeans! That was my argument with the kids about Aquaman.”

Wilson has been through a lot in his life but shared in August 2021 that things have been going well for him. He said, “I don’t know. I’ve been in sort of a lucky place of feeling pretty appreciative of things. I know everything’s kind of up and down, but when you get on one of these waves, you’ve gotta ride it as long as you can. I’ve just felt—yeah. Feeling pretty grateful. Well, grateful’s one of those words that get used all the time. Appreciative. Of, you know, stuff.”

One thing Wilson is grateful for is his family, and especially that his mom, Laura, was able to find love and happiness again after her husband passed away. "My mom recently got married at age 80 to a very nice guy," Wilson said to Ellen Degeneres. "I think that's a very romantic story and the idea that you can find love at any age."

The actor reiterated, “I think that's a very nice story.” His mom was married to Wilson’s father Robert from 1963 until he passed away in 2017. The star also shared that he considers himself romantic but he was especially inspired by his mom’s love story.

In February 2022, Wilson went on Ellen’s talk show to promote his recent film “Marry Me,” which is a romantic comedy. The movie also features Jennifer Lopez and Colombian star, Maluma. "My neighbors in Santa Monica are from Colombia and so they were very excited," Wilson revealed.

He continued, "(Maluma's) from Colombia and I guess there was a lot of coverage in the Bogatá newspaper that they showed me that he was going to be in the movie. He has a real following, and he was great to work with."
