While sitting at his piano, Elton John took the time to thank medical workers during the pandemic, dedicating his performance to them. He said:

"This is for everyone out there who's been working on the front line. Thank you, thank you, thank you."

While wearing a vivid blue and polka dot blazer with a pink undershirt, Elton John plunked out the notes on his piano keys and delivered an energetic performance of his 1983 single, 'I'm Still Standing.'

The event was a partnership between the World Health Organization and Global Citizen in order to support and honor healthcare workers in their fight against COVID-19. The special broadcast was curated by Lady Gaga.
