Dragonflies are a natural predator to mosquitos and one dragonfly is capable of eating hundreds of mosquitoes on a daily basis. This is true in both the larval and adult stages of the dragonfly.

With this knowledge at hand, all we have to do is figure out how to make sure there are dragonflies in our yard or garden. A small pond or fountain will help attract dragonflies. These insects are known to spend as much as 95 percent of their lives close to water.

Vitamin B1 repels the odors that attract pesky mosquitoes which will also cause a decrease in mosquito activity in your yard. The good source of this vitamin is Spirulina so make sure to eat a teaspoon daily.
