Dogs are said to be man's best friend, but sometimes humankind doesn't treat canines with the same respect. Wandering the lonely streets of Los Angeles, one little Yorkie with matted fur still had hope to be loved and stumbled across Ivy Diep, changing the pup's life forever.

Ivy, who works as a business development manager, knew exactly what she had to do. She scooped up the little fellow, gave him the name Popeye, and took him home with her to live his best life!

"He made himself at home and fit in well with my other dogs," Ivy told Bored Panda. "My husband and I fell in love [with him]."

A diamond in the rough, Ivy got the thankful pup cleaned up and soon discovered his love for different foods. She began taking Popeye with her to dog-friendly restaurants across the greater Los Angeles area.

Popeye's human angel started to document the pair's food adventures on social media. She noted that people seemed to enjoy the idea and soon created a page just for Popeye!

"We realized he was really good around food," Ivy told Bored Panda. "He doesn't lunge for food or really even care for it. He just liked to be out. He'll get nibbles of anything that's safe for him."

Popeye's adventures have taken him to places from the lavish Hotel Nikko and Jasmine House to American favorites like The Boilly Crab and Krispy Kreme!

The pooch's photos highlight his stunning transformation from street-dog to proud canine companion!
