Barry Darcy achieved more than just earning a Golden Buzzer when he appeared on "Ireland's Got Talent."

The 38-year-old father of two from Cork, Ireland, once thought that he would never walk again after a devasting spinal injury left him paralyzed from the waist down back in 2013. But the self-described Elvis Pressley fan was determined to continue his singing dreams and learn how to walk again.

Darcy had previously worked as an Elvis tribute act. So it was no surprise that he chose to sing the Elvis song "The Wonder of You" when he entered the reality television singing competition.

The man could not help but get emotional when he walked out on to the stage and told the audience that he once thought he would never sing or walk again. He said that he chose the Elvis song because he wanted to honor the commitment that his wife and two sons made to help him achieve his dreams while fighting back after the paralyzation.

Darcy sang his heart out, making it clear how much his family's support meant to him on his journey to recovery. He brought the audience and judges to their feet with his touching rendition of this classic song.

Judge Louis Walsh was especially impressed, not hesitating to give Darcy the Golden Buzzer, signaling him through to the next round of competition. Barry's family rushed out to greet their hero.
