When U.S. National Champion Figure Skater Jason Brown and his coach and choreographer were trying to come up with a routine to make him stand out, Jason couldn't believe it when his coach suggested he skate to Reel Around The Sun from the popular Irish Riverdance show for the Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi.

But this would soon become the best decision he ever made.

"The jumps that gave him fits a year ago... he owns it now," said one of the commentators during Jason's routine at the 2014 U.S. National Championships. They were so impressed by his improvements since his last performance.

Moves that had once been difficult for him were now executed with ease and grace. It's clear that Jason has been working hard for this moment.

The ice rink is a very different stage than the ones Riverdancers typically perform on, but Jason made the routine his own. His version of the Irish dance had a slow and enchanting start, which evolved into a fast-paced feast for the eyes. His precise movements and engaging presence had the audience hooked from the very start!

The entire audience was on its feet by the end, and Jason was visibly overwhelmed with emotion after his stunning routine. Hard work definitely pays off!
