Olivia Newton-John is in high hopes even after her recent stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Her cancer has spread to her bones, and she has a tumor in her lower back. This is the third time the “Grease” star has been diagnosed with cancer.

However, she is choosing not to know how much time she may have left.

Newton-John, 70, is no stranger to cancer, as she's had breast cancer in the 1990s and shoulder cancer in 2013. In both cases, she managed to beat them. However, her recent diagnosis is much bleaker than the ones before.

“Everyday is a gift anyway, we don’t really know how long are life is and so every day is an extra bonus for me and I’m very grateful and I intend to be here for a long time, I have much to do still,” she told Entertainment Tonight in an interview.

She also added, “If somebody tells you you have six months to live very possibly you will because you believe that.” Newton-John maintains that for her it's better not to know what her life expectancy is because she feels she will ultimately live to that point.

In the meantime, the singer/dancer is auctioning off some items from her movies including the famous black skin-tight pants she wore in “Grease” for her cancer foundation in Australia.

The star is maintaining positivity even with the difficulties of her updated cancer diagnosis. She told USA Today recently,

“I’m doing well. I’m thriving. This is my word,” she said.

Actor Hugh Jackman, Newton-John's friend and also a fellow Aussie, recently tweeted a sweet video from his "The Man. The Music. The Show World Tour" sending Olivia a message of love and support. In the video, he said: "You are the most amazing person, the most amazing mom, the most amazing ambassador, singer, and dancer. And we love you.

Newton-John was touched by her friend's message and replied: "You are so sweet and thoughtful this made me cry! Say hello to my heart home! Thank you to you and your gorgeous Ozzie audience!"
