Olivia Newton-John has been candid about her struggles throughout her most recent cancer diagnosis. The singer broke her sacrum earlier this year but found the strength to walk again. Although this is the third time she is battling the disease, Olivia remains in high hopes and feels grateful for everyday she has.

Olivia spoke with Entertainment Tonight about how she is "doing great," despite the bumps in the road. "It was a challenging year because I broke my sacrum and I had to learn to walk again and everything," she continued. "But I am strong and I am back and I'm feeling good and loving every minute."

The 71-year-old is no stranger to cancer, as she had breast cancer in the 1990s and shoulder cancer in 2013. In both cases, she managed to beat them. However, her recent diagnosis is much bleaker than the ones before. Her breast cancer has metastasized and is no longer able to be cured.

Olivia says she has chosen not to know how much time she has left telling CBS, "In my opinion, if they give you a percentage, or you know, 'This many women get this and they live this long,' --you can create that and make it happen," she said.

"It’s almost like — I think I know what the statistics are. And if, and, but I put them away. But I’m gonna live longer than that. I’ve made that decision. And I don’t buy into the statistics because I think they can make you really nervous."

Reflecting on how she treats each day, Olivia said to ET, "Every day is a gift, we don't really know how long our life is," she said. "I'm very grateful, and I intend to be here for a long time. I have much to do still."
