Olivia Newton-John stepped out for her charity event in Melbourne over the weekend to help raise money for people battling cancer. She also gave attendees a treat by letting them try on her iconic leather jacket from her film, “Grease.”

Olivia beamed at her annual wellness walk and research run as her husband John Easterling and daughter Chloe Lattanzi were at her side. Telling The Hollywood Reporter, Olivia said, “We flew the Grease jacket and pants over from America, and several women there who are going through cancer treatment tried on the jacket.” She added,”Their faces just lit up. It was so wonderful to bring people joy with a simple thing like that.”

The  "Physical" singer is no stranger to cancer, as she had breast cancer in the 1990s and shoulder cancer in 2013. In both cases, she managed to beat them. However, her recent diagnosis is much bleaker than the ones before. She told Entertainment Tonight that she is choosing not to know how much time she may have left.

The iconic outfit Olivia wore in “Grease” features skin-tight shiny pants and a black leather jacket. Oliva told the publication, “I’ve had the thought of auctioning the jacket for the last 10 years, and when we started talking about it, the whole world opened up.”

According to the tabloid, the star is also auctioning off boots that she wore in the 1980 film “Xanadu,”a dress from the tour that resulted from her monster hit “Physical,” a “Pink Ladies” jacket from the “Grease,”and the beautiful pink dress she wore to the film’s 1978 premiere. “I’d only been thinking about the jacket and pants, but it also occurred to me that, heck, I can’t take this stuff with me. It should go to people who will enjoy it,” Olivia said.

Martin Nolan, executive director for the auction told The Hollywood Reporter that the jacket is set to sell between $100,000 and $200,000 and the pants between $40,000 and $60,000, however he believes both items may attract higher bids. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will go to Olivia’s cancer center.

When speaking about all of her items that are up for sale Olivia said, “I’m never going to wear them, and a lot of museums and collectors around the world are showing interest.” She adds, “Otherwise these things would be sitting in a closet, but this way, the money they raise can help someone. And it’ll make me happy knowing people are enjoying them.”
