OB-GYN Makes Massive Mistake At First Ultrasound, Expectant Parents Can't Stop Laughing

Unexpected things happen all the time in life. Some of those things are good, others are bad, and the rest are downright weird. This is one of those strange, yet hilarious situations where the unexpected became a reality.

While we can laugh about this story now, we certainly hope no one else experiences the same thing. This story begins with Chris and Rachel McQueen, a couple out of Kentucky. The couple was expecting a new baby and were heading in for a routine checkup.

Already parents to five beautiful children, the McQueens were happy to add a new baby to the mix. As the couple went in that day for the prenatal appointment for an ultrasound and pelvic exam, something truly unexpected and alarming happened.

The story, though uncomfortable in the moment, quickly went viral after the McQueens shared it online. While they can laugh about it now, when it happened, Rachel could hardly contain herself!

During the appointment, Rachel had a healthy ultrasound that was followed up with a pelvic exam. As Chris stayed by Rachel's side, they both expected the pelvic exam to go over as easily as the ultrasound did, but they had no idea what was about to happen.

Everything during the exam was happening as it should, up until the point that Rachel had her feet hoisted in the stirrups. Suddenly, Rachel screamed out in pain--she had a burning hot sensation that she knew was a sign something was terribly wrong. Screaming, Rachel told the doctor to stop everything and take out what she thought was the gel.

It was at that moment that everyone in the room knew the OB-GYN made a mistake--the bottle with lubricating gel turned out to be something else entirely. While the story sounds too crazy to be true, Rachel took to Facebook to share what just happened to her. Now, the McQueens have thousands of people around the world laughing along with them.

In the video, Rachel explains that the OB-GYN used hand sanitizer on her! While it was an honest mistake on the OB-GYN's part, the burning Rachel felt was likely the "worst thing in OB history", as Rachel put it.

What a crazy story! Could you imagine something like that happening? Have you ever been in a similar situation? Let us know - and feel free to pass this story along to your friends and family!
