Nurses can be true angels on earth. Jess Hamm exemplifies the spirit of nursing and putting the needs of others ahead of your own.

Jess had no idea that her life would change when she first met 14-month-old Delilah.

The sweet baby was being treated for non-accidental trauma at Wolfson Children’s Hospital where Jess worked.

The helpless baby was extremely malnourished and also had many broken bones and a fractured skull. The injuries were so severe that she could not hold her own head up.

To her shock, she found out that Delilah actually had a twin sister who was being treated at the same hospital.

The selfless nurse did not have to think twice about adopting both Delilah and Caroline. She knew that it was a match made in heaven.

Now the two sisters live in a safe and secure home being cared for by a mother who loves them dearly. Jess said that she had never considered adoption until it was the obvious answer for her.

She wants to share her story so that more people may consider adopting so many of the deserving children out there who just want a forever home.
