The average person farts 5 to 15 time per day. That is only normal. It is still a surprise why farting is so frowned upon as everyone does it. There are times when farting is just out of the context of the environment – like a business meeting or a romantic date. Sometimes there is nowhere to escape when you need to pass gas. There are yet, other people that have a harder time with keeping flatulence on the low. For those, an innovative company by the name of Flat-D Innovations, Inc has released a product that neutralizes flatulence odors.

The product is a charcoal pad that is placed in your underwear. Behind the products is the idea that charcoal is an excellent absorbent of odors. It is often used for filtering liquids and gases by removing harmful chemicals from them. The activated charcoal that is built into a fabric is now often used to absorb odors. This is made possible by the carbon inside each piece of the fabric structure.

According to the company that created the products, their material is not too thick, just a 1/16 of an inch. It can be washed many times without losing its effectiveness. The fabric is laminated with a polyester material on both sides. This extra material provides strength to the products so they can be used for a long time. The material is hardly noticed by the users as it is lightweight and breathable.

The activated carbon inside the pad works with gases as a sponge does with water. It absorbs them at the microscopic level. The activated charcoal has the ability to hold on to the gas very well. There is no risk of wearing it for both the users and the environment as the carbon does not release materials once it has captured them.

Apparently, the product is pretty popular out there. A lot of people have used it and left positive reviews online. On Amazon, a customer shared that she is now able to sleep in the same room as her husband without worrying about farting. She shares that the pad is really effective as long as it is placed directly under the bum. If it is placed between the cheeks and undies, it does not have the same effect.

Another woman used to be called a 'crop-duster' by her colleagues. She could not help it as her stomach was naturally that way. When she got her paycheck, she purchased 10 pieces to be sure she would always be covered. This has made her work environment so much easier on her and her colleagues. Ever since she wears them, no one calls her the 'crop-duster' anymore.
