Award-winning Australian-American actress Nicole Kidman recently took the opportunity to gush about the love of her life, country star Keith Urban, in an interview Marie Claire this October.

Kidman, who used to be married to one of Hollywood's top movie stars, Tom Cruise, spilled the tea on her husband, life under lockdown, and how Urban helped her find her confidence.

Having been married to Keith Urban for 14 years, Kidman admits that he has been pivotal in helping her gain her confidence.

Speaking to Marie Claire last month, the actress praised her husband for being an ally who steps up to carry the load when she needs it the most. With so much to juggle from being a wife, mother, and actress, the Big Little Lies star says that Urban is always ready to take over.

Apart from being her biggest advocate, the actress admitted that Urban also helped her find her confidence when they first met in 2005.

"I married into my heart," Kidman gushed. "He just came along and protected me. He's loved me, given me confidence, and made me so much more comfortable. He knows who I am, and he's opened me up. We have an interesting balance because I'm an introvert, and he's an extrovert."

And when it comes to gushing over Kidman, Urban is not shy about that one bit. Back in September, the singer appeared on Dax Shepard's 'Armchair Expert' podcast, where Urban said his wife was "the one."

"She's the one that I was searching for my whole life, and everything not only changed but had to change in me if I was gonna go that road," Urban said.

"It was like the ultimate fork in the road moment in my life, and it was literally like you either get this right now or you are never, ever gonna get it right. This is your one shot. It felt so obvious. I knew where I was going ... It was everything I was looking for and then beyond. Just beyond."

Since marrying in 2005, the couple has remained supportive of one another's endeavors. In September, Kidman took to Instagram to promote Urban's new album The Speed Of Now Part 1 with a sweet photo of the couple. Just as Urban is there to take the reigns when Kidman is busy with her responsibilities, she is sure to return the favor when duty calls for the country singer.

"At this point, I've got to get through this shoot and he's like, 'Great – I'm here,'" Kidman told Marie Claire. "Right now, I'm carrying the weight of it so he can promote his album. We shoulder each other's loads when we need to."

The couple moved to Urban's native Australia with their two daughters, 9-year-old Faith Margaret and 12-year-old Sunday Rose, this August. The move came as Kidman's latest project, Nine Perfect Strangerswas forced to move from LA to Byron Bay as the Coronavirus pandemic brought restrictions on public life. Although a logistical nightmare, the multi-talented actress made it work.

"I've had a lot of sleepless nights, there's been a lot of stress this year, but we're making it work with protocols and limitations," she said. "I still can't believe we did it!"

The 53-year-old mother of four revealed life has been pretty hectic for her and her family, as she works on her new show The Undoing amid the ongoing pandemic.

No stranger to juggling a hectic career while being married to another superstar, the actress has been down this married road before with Tom Cruise. In a seperate interview with The New York Times, Kidman spoke about working with her ex-husband in the 1999 film, Eyes Wide Shut.

According to the actress, working together on set actually brought her and Cruise closer.

"We were happily married through that," Kidman said. "We would go go-kart racing after those scenes. We'd rent out a place and go racing at three in the morning."

Complicated as their relationship undeniably was, Kidman prefers not to dwell on the negative. Kidman and Cruise adopted two children; son Connor, 25, and daughter Isabella, 27.

Then again, why would she dwell on anything but the positive? The actress has a successful career, a beautiful family, and a husband who stands by her through and through.
