Kidman has been married to husband Keith Urban since 2006 and the pair share two children. The actress credits her husband for helping her gain confidence in herself and come out of her shell. She said she was rather introverted and shy before marrying the country singer. The couple is very supportive of each other's successful careers and always makes time to speak out about their latest projects.

One place where Kidman's confidence has always shown through is onscreen. The star is not afraid to undergo a bold transformation if it will help her get deeper into her role. Happy Marriage

Kidman took the opportunity to gush about the love of her life, country star Keith Urban, in an interview with Marie Claire in October 2020. Having been married to Urban for 14 years, Kidman admits that he has been pivotal in helping her gain her confidence.

Speaking to Marie Claire, the actress praised her husband for being an ally who steps up to carry the load when she needs it the most. With so much to juggle from being a wife, mother, and actress, the "Big Little Lies" star says that Urban is always ready to take over.

Apart from being her biggest advocate, the actress admitted that Urban also helped her find her confidence when they first met in 2005. "I married into my heart," Kidman gushed. "He just came along and protected me. He's loved me, given me confidence, and made me so much more comfortable. He knows who I am, and he's opened me up. We have an interesting balance because I'm an introvert, and he's an extrovert."

Since marrying in 2006, the couple has remained supportive of one another's endeavors. Just as Urban is there to take the reins when Kidman is busy with her responsibilities, she is sure to return the favor when duty calls for the country singer.

"At this point, I've got to get through this shoot and he's like, 'Great – I'm here,'" Kidman told Marie Claire. "Right now, I'm carrying the weight of it so he can promote his album. We shoulder each other's loads when we need to."

Transformative Career

Kidman has been working as an actress in Hollywood since 1983 and audiences have seen her change her look countless times. Here are some of her best transformations.

The Goldfinch

In 2019, fans saw Kidman like they never have before when she transformed into an older woman to portray the character, Mrs. Barbour in "The Goldfinch." The star wore heavy makeup to achieve the look.

Straightened Hair

It is not commonly known, but Kidman actually has naturally red curly hair. It was in the film "Flirting" in 1991 that fans saw her straightened locks for the first time. She added that the process of straightening damaged her hair. "I wish I had my curls back," she said, according to Today. "I tortured them to death. I always say, 'Don't ruin the ringlets!'"

Punk Rocker

In 2017 for the film "How to Talk to Girls at Parties," Kidman plays the role of Queen Boadicea, a punk rocker. Melissa Minton wrote at W Magazine in 2018, "Kidman can be seen doing her best Edward Scissorhands impression with a choppy gray-and-black wig. Her bangs and the front of her hair are cut bluntly, with the back spiked up in a demented version of Kate Gosling meets Cruella de Vil."

Virginia Woolf Prosthetic

For the film "The Hours," Kidman underwent a complete transformation including a prosthetic nose. The star had to sit in the makeup chair for hours but said that the look made a perfect disguise." I did enjoy being anonymous," Kidman told SFGate." It was fun to be able to go out of my trailer and not have anyone know me."

The look was so convincing that Kidman truly embodied Virginia Woolf and was awarded the Oscar for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance.
