Amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has stopped nations the world over, many people have been socially distancing themselves and unable to visit even the closest of family members.

Actress Nicole Kidman is one of those people, who just recently finally saw her mother Janelle again, after eight months apart. She posted about the joyous occasion on Instagram for all the world to share in her happiness.

Nicole, who's Australian and based in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, fellow Aussie Keith Urban, doesn't even live in the same country as her parents. This week, however, the actress flew to Australia to work on a new series called Nine Perfect Strangers. She flew over with her whole family, including Urban and their two daughters Sunday, 12, and Faith, 9. People reported that they spent a mandatory two-week quarantine period in their home in the Southern Highlands in the state of New South Wales.

Taking to Instagram to share the special moment of being reunited with her mom, Nicole posted two photos of them embracing, with the caption

"Feels so good to be able to hug my mum! It’s been 8 months. I missed her 80th birthday but I’m here now. Love you Mumma ❤️🇦🇺"

Kidman, who recently turned 53, received messages of love from family and friends for her birthday, as well as a special Instagram post tribute from her husband Keith Urban, who is 52.

Referencing Nicole's parents in his post, Urban posted a sweet picture of Nicole standing behind a bunch of balloons, including one that said "Happy Birthday." He captioned his post:

"WHAT A GIFT JANELLE AND ANTONY KIDMAN BROUGHT INTO THE WORLD ON THIS DAY !!!"

Just before her birthday on June 20, Nicole had broken her ankle while out for a run. She thanked her fans for their best wishes in May, as she recuperated from the injury. Taking to Instagram, she shared a sweet photo of her and Keith side by side and wrote:

"Thank you for all the well wishes and love ❤️ I’m back on the right track… and almost back on the right foot 😉"

It's unclear how long Nicole, Keith, and their family will be back in Australia, but if she's filming then it's perhaps for a while. Considering the distance we've all had to keep in the last months, it must be nice to be reunited with family again and for a change of scenery.
