We live in progressively strange times, particularly with regard to social practices and gender dynamics.

There was a time when chivalry was not only celebrated but also encouraged; these days, chivalrous behavior is often misconstrued as being sexist, which has prompted many men to abandon such ideas.

This was clearly not the case for a New York man whose chivalry was captured on video and prompted his daughter to send it to a Philadelphia news television station.

In the video, which has been posted and re-posted on many social networks, we see a woman who is trying to walk towards a house, but she is wearing high heels and there are several inches of snow on the ground.

What we see next is a man start clearing a path for the woman; he does not have a shovel to help him with this effort, he simply uses his feet and seems to do a great job of it. As the snow is cleared, you know his feet are being drenched with icy slosh, but he continues and looks back at the woman, who is now able to make it across.

The whole scene seems as if it was clipped from a silent cinema masterpiece, but the journalists at CBS Philly filled us in with all the necessary details and context.

This is a man helping his wife get across a frozen lawn so that they can visit their son, who was the one filming everything while staying warm inside the house. The video was passed between the couple's children, and their daughter thought it was very sweet and worthy of making the news.

The video has now been viewed over 10 million times, proving how happy people are to witness such enduring devotion.

Since chivalry is becoming rare, it is not surprising to learn that this video has gone viral. Let people know that there are still great partners out there who will do anything for the one they love.
