Anne Glancey of Hamilton Township, New Jersey was having some serious problems with her old house. Her home was not only in an unattractive state, but it was actually deteriorating to a point where it was becoming uninhabitable.

The town authorities weren't giving her any compassion either because they demanded that she renovate her home to avoid paying monthly fines of over $3,000.

According to the posts of Mrs. Glancey's neighbors, Adam and Kristin, she couldn't afford to pay these fines, and she wasn't ready to move out of her home. She was in a predicament with no solution.

She was somewhat of a recluse who went out rarely and seldom had company at her home. She was not in good enough physical shape to do the work herself, so she needed to hire some contractors to do the renovations.

According to People, as Anne lamented her unsolvable predicament, a ray of hope entered her situation. Five years ago, a couple had moved into the neighboring house, and they were the only people in the neighborhood to show her some friendship over the years that they lived there.

When Adam and Kristin became aware of their neighbor's dilemma, they became concerned. They tried to speak with Anne about the problem, but she was too shy to talk about it.

The couple was very concerned for their neighbor, so they refused to give up on trying to find a solution to her problem. Unknown to Anne, they enlisted some friends and other volunteers to do some work on the house.

A large crew of people turned out to do renovations, and they continued the project throughout the entire summer until the required repairs were done. There was extensive repair work needed to get the job done, and the transformation of the old, dilapidated house is amazing to behold.

According to People, when the township officials inspected the repaired home, they rescinded all the violations, and she is no longer in danger of receiving hefty fines. The repair work, if Anne had hired contractors to do the labor, would have cost up to $15,000. After her community came together to help her in such a rare act of kindness, she has gained a brighter disposition, and she is more willing to make friends.

Anne enjoys baking, and she has begun to bring carrot cakes and orange juice to the people who helped restore her house. Her next-door neighbors say that the renewed joy in Anne's life is all the reward they could want for the work they did.
