New Dad Prince Harry Is So Much Like Diana Who Would've Been "The Most Incredible" Grandma, Royal Family Expert Says

With the news of the blessed arrival of the royal baby Sussex, the world is on edge waiting for all the details.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle welcomed Archie into the world on May 6. The news has brought the similarities between Harry and his mother, the late Princess Diana back into focus.

Royals expert Emma Forbes believes that Harry will be an incredible father to his young son. Forbes said that it is truly tragic that Diana is not around to see her son become a father for the first time. Forbes also noted that she believes that Harry will exhibit similar parenting philosophies to his mother.

According to People, Forbes added: 

“Harry’s the one that’s got so much of Diana in him. I was actually thinking about that this morning—how tragic it is that she’s not alive because she’d be the most incredible grandmother.”

Diana had a reputation of being a very hands-on parent and wanting to give her two sons a life out of the spotlight. Her sons have often applauded her for wanting to make them laugh all the time and show them the simple joys in life. Diana loved to sneak out from the walls of the palace with her boys and expose them to the real world.

In their 2017 engagement interview, Harry and Meghan told the BBC that they know Diana would be so excited for them and is always with them. That is especially true now as they embark on this new parenting journey. Harry said that he thinks his beloved mother would be best friends with Meghan.

The happy couple has tried to honor the memory of the late princess as much as possible. Meghan's engagement ring includes two diamonds that were once part of Diana's personal jewelry collection.
