It's not often that you get to meet one of your musical heroes, let alone join them for a duet onstage. But for Charice Pempengco from the Philippines, that dream became a reality.

International mega-star Celine Dion was kind enough to invite 16-year-old aspiring singer Charice onstage with her for a special song at a concert one night. She introduced her at her concert and said,

“I had a chance to see Charice perform one of my songs on Oprah last week. I have a little difficulty to talk right now because I met Charice and I’m so emotional and so I’m searching and looking for my words trying to control my emotion. I invited her to come here tonight to sing with me.”

A shy young girl appeared by Celine's side and they both announced that they were going to sing the song “Because You Loved Me” to Charice's mom who was in the audience that night. Celine said, "Let me tell you she has a voice that can literally blow the roof off Madison Square.” Charice shed her nerves and began belting the song, delivering on Celine's statement.

The sweet lyrics included "For all those times you stood by me. For all the truth that you made me see. For all the joy you brought to my life. For all the wrong that you made right," which are just so perfect for a doting mother.

It must have been such a heartwarming moment for Charice's mom, who looked amazingly proud of her young daughter as she watched. But even more so, the moment for Charice must have meant everything to her.

The emotional weight of the duet came through in her voice, and she connected with the audience perfectly. They applauded and cheered for her, as proud of her talent as her mother was.

Celine name-dropped Oprah because she is the one that discovered her video on Youtube and brought her on her show. Then eventually introduced her to Celine. Charice had told Oprah that, "The first song that I learned was 'My Heart Will Go On. Of course I want to sing with [Celine Dion] soon, I wish, someday."

It's spectacular to see her dream come true and maybe Oprah's label for the singing sensation was correct: "The most talented girl in the world."
