From Shy To Rockstar, 13-Year-Old Earns Golden Buzzer After Astonishing Crowd With Rock Performance

13-year-old Courtney Hadwin got in front of the "America's Got Talent" judges and a huge audience in 2018 and impressed everyone with her performance, even earning a golden buzzer.

Thirteen-year-old Courtney Hadwin found herself in that position when she decided to try out for the show. 

She practiced and practiced, but was still nervous when it was time to get on stage. Audiences watched as she stepped out onto the stage and spoke to the judges in a shaky and nervous voice.

The audience was dead silent and painfully shy Courtney began to sing "Hard to Handle" by The Black Crowes. Before their eyes, the shy teen transformed into a rock star as she belted her heart out. Judges were blown away and the cameras panned to their shocked expressions that soon turned into amazement for the wonderful young singer. 

Courtney finally sang her last note, and the audience went wild! Once the crowd settled down, the judges shared their thoughts with the girl. Judges Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Simon Cowell all took the chance to tell her how much they enjoyed her performance and how talented she was, with Simon Cowell comparing her to a lion. Judge Howie Mandel was particularly impressed by Courtney. So impressed in fact that he reached out and gave her his golden buzzer!
