We all love to get revenge on people. Although it is frowned upon by some, getting revenge on another person for being wronged just feels so good. Sometimes, a person does something to you that you just can’t let go. When that happens, you may wrack your brain to think of something that will really get back at them. It has to be something that will really bother them for some time.

However, you still have to be a civil human being, right? We aren’t all children, and we have to learn to let go when a person wrongs us. For some people, revenge is something that they have to have. This is the case for this particular story for sure.

Have you ever traveled to Alexandria, Virginia? If you have ever been to this town, you just may have seen one man’s act of revenge. If you saw a small little blue house wedged right between a large red house and a large white house, you may know what we are talking about. You would have had to look very closely, though!

The house in question was named the narrowest house in the United States by Ripley’s Believe It or Not. That is because this two-story house is only 7 feet wide and 25 feet deep. That is small compared to even a normal-sized home in America.

It is also known as the “Spite House” of Alexandria. There is a pretty good story concerning the reason for this name.

John Hollensbury built the tiny house back in 1830 in order to keep out the loiterers and horse-drawn carriages. He did not want them going up and down the very narrow alley. You can even see inside of the house where wagon wheels left indentations on the walls.

Colleen and Jack Sammis are the current owners of the tiny home. They bought it in 1990 and are using it as a pied-à-terre.

This tiny little home does have so many amazing features. There is a fully functioning kitchen inside, a lot of storage space, and even a tiny garden. Colleen and Jack decorated the home as much as they could. It is truly a beautiful site to see!
