Neighbor Raises Baby Boy As Her Own After Mother Left Him And Never Returned

In an inspiring TikTok that has gone viral since it was uploaded in March 2021, an English woman in her 70s named Rosalinda tells her followers that she took in and raised a little boy on her own after a neighbor abandoned him. The neighbor, Rosalinda explains, simply asked her whether she would look after her son while she went to the grocery store — but the mother never came back. Rosalinda, whom doctors had told could not have children, took the boy in, raising him until he was old enough to search for his father and live on his own.

That experience was life-changing. After taking in her neighbor’s child, Rosalinda says that she became a foster parent.

“My first foster child was a little boy called Adeola,” Rosalinda says in the below video.

“Over the years I’ve fostered many children and that led up to me getting my daughter. She came to me in mid-May in 1990. Such a beautiful little baby, really beautiful eyes, and she’s been with me ever since,” she continues, as photos appear of her daughter, Lola, who is now in her 30s.

After telling her emotional story of being a foster mother, Rosalinda’s video has accumulated 1.7 million views on TikTok, and as a whole, she has more than 50,000 followers.

Rosalinda’s journey as a foster parent began when she learned that she couldn’t have children herself, as she explains in the popular TikTok clip.

“In my early 20s, I was told after lots of investigations that I would never have children of my own,” Rosalinda tells the camera.

She then recounts the incredible story of a neighbor who left her baby boy with Rosalinda.

“When my next door neighbor asked me to look after her little boy while she went shopping, I said, ‘Of course.’ But she never came back. That little boy stayed with me through my marraige … until he was 18 when he found his dad.”

Although we don’t learn more about the boy she raised, Lola does make an appearance in some of Rosalinda’s TikToks. In one, she jokingly tells her daughter, who is in her 30s, that she’s adopted as if she had waited until then to tell her.

However, Rosalinda’s most revealing video is her first one, in which she describes her relationship with her ex-husband. In the video, she says that she came home from working the night shift when she heard a strange commotion upstairs.

“I went to check on the children and they were fast asleep, then I realised the noises were coming from my sister's room,” she explains.

“I checked upstairs in my room, and my husband was nowhere to be found. So I went into her room, turned on the light and there they were. I chased them out screaming, they run down the stairs, I picked up what looked like a meat chopper from the kitchen, my sister run so quickly out of the front door in just her underwear.”

In a follow-up video, Rosalinda claims that her sister never apologized for having an affair with her husband. Luckily, however, Rosalinda says she has found love again since the divorce.
