Many religions teach loving and caring for each other. So this restaurant owner decided to share the concept of loving your neighbor with the less fortunate and lonely in their area. And most cultures have a belief that you should love your neighbors as you'd care for yourself.

For many people, Christmas can be a time of loneliness and want. Older people and homeless individuals can especially feel the lack of financial stability, money, family, and friends during the holidays. No one wants to spend much time alone at Christmas time. And everyone deserves to be fed.

Restaurant owner Hasan Masud decided that, instead of mentioning that the concept of Christmas was against his religious beliefs, he would perform an act of love and service that was to go viral on the Internet.

Masud didn’t close his place on Christmas day. Instead, Masud put a sign in his restaurant window that invited the homeless and elderly in for a free meal of Turkish delights in his Turkish establishment. He also promised that these individuals wouldn’t have to eat alone Christmas day if they came in between 12 P.M. and 6 P.M.

Masud stated that he didn’t think his actions were a big deal. He just didn’t want people to be alone on the holiday. A passerby noticed the sign and posted it online, where it promptly went viral. Since Christmas Day, the sign has been seen by millions online around the world.

Way to display love and caring, Mr. Masud and Shish Restaurant! If you have an opinion about the actions of this man and his restaurant, please tell us in the comments below.
