The Kirkland family has a combined tradition of faith and music and now that is being passed on to their children. Their four boys have taken online music enthusiasts by storm in their rendition of the old Gospel him Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior .

A Musical Start

Brackin and Lindsay Kirkland started the band Sounds Like Rain years ago as a way to use their gifts to worship Jesus Christ as Christian believers. They brought up their four boys with the same love of worship and began including them in their musical performances.

Fortunately for the Kirklands, all their children show both talent and a love for church worship. They are becoming known for performances centered around old gospel songs.

Spreading The Music

One of the musical selections the four boys sung in an online performance has struck a chord with a worldwide audience. Their version of Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior is receiving a strong reaction from people who find it hopeful and comforting.

The song, written by Fanny Crosby in 1868, is well known to many Christians. While many churches have given up on some of the old standard hymns, the Kirkland boys are showing this is one hymn that shouldn't be forgotten.

Fear Not

The hymn hearkens to Scripture found in Revelations 21:3.

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, behold the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will be with them as their God."

It is unknown where the Kirland boys will take their musical talents, but those listening to them now appear to be enjoying the online performances as their voices have gone viral with many from around the world taking in the words of the hymn during a time when everything is shut down.

The message of the hymn is that God will never leave you or forsake you. Many have found peace in the Kirland's adorable performance of the well-known classic hymn. Those who need comfort or encouragement should listen to this phenomenal family group and pass it on to friends
