Australian music superstar Keith Urban, 52, sang Star-Spangled Banner before Game 3 of the NHL Western Conference finals in 2017. It was his first time performing the national anthem.

The New Zealand-born singer tweeted (with his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, by his side) that he's lived in the United States for 25 years but had never been asked to sing the national anthem until the Predators offered the opportunity.

So fans got to hear Urban sing live, he was thrilled to check off a career first and the Predators went up 2-1 on the Anaheim Ducks in the series.

Decked in the Nashville Predators jersey, Urban had been the latest country music star to do national anthem duties before the team plays off home games.

Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, and Lady Antebellum have all performed the Star-Spangled Banner at Bridgestone Arena during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. And while fans were plenty pumped to hear Urban, the privilege was all his.

One commenter wrote, "Well done by Keith. Awesome to see some of the popular Singers from Nashville contribute to Hockey," while another said:

"That was beautiful, Keith. Your sincerity and passion really come across, as in everything you sing. You have a real connection with your audience. It's as if your heart is singing directly to our hearts. My heart is touched every time I hear you sing. Your love for America, the place where you have made your home, and have found longed-for success and fulfillment is palpable. God bless you, Keith Urban.

Urban moved to Nashville in 1992. He is married to actress Nicole Kidman, who is also 52 and Australian.
