Social media usually presents us with people's ideal versions of life. They post perfectly curated snapshots of the good things that they want others to see. You might scroll through someone's feed and think that they've never had a problem.
That isn't so for one woman in Canada. Jennifer Neville-Lake decided to get real and post her truth for the world to see. In doing so, she sent a powerful message. While other parents posted images of their children returning to school or enjoying the last days of summer, Jennifer posted a haunting image that will break your heart.

In the photo, three lunch bags sit atop a gravestone. The inscription on the memorial reads "Forever In Our Hearts." Four years ago, Jennifer's three precious children died in a car crash. The image Jennifer posted is of their grave.
In September of that year, the children -- Daniel (9), Harry (5), and Milly (2) -- were riding in a car with their grandparents. A drunk driver slammed into the vehicle, claiming their lives.
"I remember saying to the doctor, 'All of my children? All of my children are gone? This can't be true,'" said the grieving mother to Good Morning America.
Police arrested the driver, who is now in jail. That's small comfort to a mother whose family was destroyed. Jennifer posted that she now hates her life. Every day is a reminder of all that she's lost.
By sharing this haunting image, Jennifer hopes that others will recognize the blessings they have and cherish every moment with their children. She also hopes that perhaps it will inspire someone to think twice before getting behind the wheel while impaired.
Do you know someone who could use a powerful reminder like this? If so, be sure they see this. If Jennifer's message affected you in any way, let us know.
