Mother Shamed For Naming Her Baby After Her Favorite Snack As Critics Claim She 'Doesn't Deserve That Child'

Whenever a couple is expecting a cute baby, some of the first things they do are purchase clothes, baby-proof the house, buy items such as a stroller, crib, and more, but probably the hardest decision they have to make is what name they should give their little one.

Choosing a name for a child is one of the hardest decisions a couple could ever make, as this is something that they would have for the rest of their lives.

Some couples would opt to use a name that was passed down to them from another generation as a form of family legacy, while some wanted to have a significant or deep meaning.

However, one mom on social media might have taken things to a different level, as some people disagreed with her decision to name her daughter after her favorite snack, a pickle.

In a video shared on the TikTok account called @thealexanderfamilyy in March 2023, a pregnant woman could be seen munching down her snack of choice.

In the text written on the clip, it appeared that she anticipated the hate that social media would give her as she wrote: "I'm going to get hate for her name but we will call her…"

A different clip was later added where she held the adorable baby in her arms and then revealed the name.

Not everyone was fond of her name of choice as some of them believed that it was too much and inappropriate as the kid would "get bullied" when she grew up.

After the mom revealed that her daughter's name was "Pickle," the comment section was filled with mixed reactions. Some used the name as a joke, while others expressed their thoughts about the woman's decision as they questioned why she had named her child that way.

"….what kind of a mom names there kid PICKLE!!!?? -_-," one wrote.

 "WHO THE HELL SPITS OUT A CHILD LOOKS AT HER/HIM AND SAYS "ill name you pickle"??😭😭," one commented.

"This better be a joke or u do not deserve that child," one wrote, but the original poster appeared to not care about other people's opinion as they simply replied: "lol" 

Another one commented:

"Imbecile only thinking about herself and not her child. Poor baby she will suffer in the long run and probably change her name."

The account replied once again and said, "Why do people keep saying pickle is poor? She's rich and thriving 🥰"

"You're such terrible mom because, you decided to name your daughter Pickle," one expressed.

"if you like 'pickle' so much, maybe you should consider changing your own name.. your kid is gonna be bullied so much and will hate you for it," another one wrote.

Other people noted that the family decided to give their daughter a nickname on social media and Pickle isn't really her real name, as they speculated, "I know that pickle is her TikTok name to hide her actual name but I absolutely love the fact people actually think you named her pickle😂🧡" 

Not all comments were negative as other people decided to defend the mom for her decision as one wrote, "Guys I understand u neva heard someone name their baby "pickle" (me neither) but it's her baby she chose that life that name for her child."
