Nature has provided us with thousands of cute and furry little creatures, but the one in this video is not as cute as it appears. A mother used her wits to keep her kids safe from the unlikeliest of foes. Take a look at exactly what she found in the video, and you will become amazed at how this tiny creature can actually pack a really powerful punch.

Leslie Howe, a mother of three, decided it was a nice day to visit a local park with her children in Gwinnett County, Georgia. As they all soaked in the wonderful sunshine and played in the park, Howe noticed an odd-looking creature inching its way towards her. It was a peculiar little caterpillar that was covered front to back in a thick coat of fur. Howe just knew something was off with this adorable tiny creature.

Listening to the voice in her head, Howe kept herself and her kids at a safe distance from the caterpillar. She later learned of what type of caterpillar it was and the potential dangers they all could've encountered that day. It's called the Puss Caterpillar and was given that name because of its soft pussycat-looking fur. It's jampacked with venom and if you touch it, it'll send an excruciating pain your way that'll hurt more than a wasp's sting.

The throbbing pain from the venom can cause excessive sweating, extreme nausea and possibly a trip to the emergency room. Luckily, Howe used her motherly instincts and kept everyone safe. Puss Caterpillars are usually found dwelling in treetops in certain areas of the United States. Over the years, these furry caterpillars have started traveling more towards the ground and have caused quite a stir.

Do you live in the same region as these caterpillars? If so, give your friends a friendly reminder and send this article to anyone that needs to know about its potential dangers.
