Would you prefer to spend all day at home with the kids or at work with your boss? According to a survey, most moms would choose the latter.

While staying home all day with a child might sound like a vacation to some working men and women, most moms disagree.

According to the survey, completed by Aveeno Baby in the UK and published in The Sun, new parents who think that working in an office is easier than staying at home and taking care of children and a home all day.

After polling 1500 parents, the survey's results showed quite a few interesting facts about parenting, including that 31 percent of new parents find it easier to face their boss at work than a crying baby at home.

Staying home with a child feels like a full-time job, and while a cup of joe on the job might get you through a tough day at work, only 15% of new parents believe coffee can solve their problems home with a baby, according to the same survey.

On the other hand, there is about 48 percent of mothers who enjoy being a parent and see it as an experience that has taught them a lot about life.

Mothers are often urged to wait about six weeks before they go back to work if they need or want to work outside of the home. This is the length of time that it usually takes for your body to heal after delivery. It can also give you a better idea as to whether you want to leave your baby with someone else while you work.

The survey's conclusion that staying at home with the kids is harder than a full-time job might have something to do with the fact that parenting now is seen as more difficult than it used to be, according to a Culture Of American Families Survey, with the introduction of new technologies and social platforms.

For example, 71% of parents polled said social media made them more competitive, and 21% said they felt pressure to be the "perfect parent" when using social media. However, the demographic most likely to use the platforms in question, Millennials, is also most likely to believe they're doing a "very good job" at parenting.

Regardless of whether being a stay-at-home parent or going into the office is more difficult, 55% of parents surveyed agreed that having a baby is "hard work." A full 20% admitted that it was not only hard but actually "really difficult."
