Yet, a language barrier did not stop Erdene from choosing the classic George Strait song "Amarillo by Morning" for his piece. Everyone in the audience was delighted when Erdene commanded the song with ease and like a true cowboy.

On the show's pilot episode, Erdene was the clear star of the show. The show's jury of judges, nicknamed the "Wall of the World", were clearly impressed by Erdene's singing talent. Drew Barrymore and Faith Hill were especially surprised by Erdene's command of the song.
