Mom Walks In The Room And Finds Her Son Dancing Dressed As A Cowboy

It's often been said that you should always dance like no one's around. In fact, an often-repeated quote includes the following line, "Dance like nobody's watching," generally combined with the statement that you should also sing like no one is listening.

The reasoning behind this is that you're most apt to truly get lost in the moment and fully enjoy yourself if you're not concerned at all with what anybody else may think of what you're doing.

However, putting this into practice can be so difficult to do as so many of us are so worried about what others will think of us. This does not just refer to our singing or dancing abilities, of course, but everything else too. However, as is often the case, we have a lot that we can learn from the younger ones in our lives as one of the benefits of being a young child is that you're not nearly as apt to have that mindset. And one mother recently got to enjoy seeing what life is like through the eyes and mind of her child: carefree and fun-loving.

In this Facebook video, we can see a young cowboy-adorned child just getting lost in the music and getting some outstanding moves in, moves that can only be made by somebody who truly is dancing like nobody's watching. At one point, he even appears to get his air guitar out and is strumming the cords, much to the delight and laughter of his adoring mother.

Not only has his mother thoroughly enjoyed his performance, but so have so many others as this video has clearly gone viral on that social media outlet, garnering 270,000 comments and counting. Regina Okafor shared one of them: "What an awesome cutest baby. Kudos to his wonderful and loving caregivers. It's shows every child can learn but with exposure, resources, loving environment and interaction. Loving this 'SUPERSTAR' in the MAKING."

Maybe more people will be inspired by this video and start truly dancing and singing like nobody is watching in their adult lives and, ultimately, make the world a happier, more fun place. Of course, refraining to critique the dancing or singing ability of others would go a long way.

When was the last time you danced like there was nobody watching? Or do you have a young one yourself who has really, to use a Will Smith reference, been "getting' jiggy wit it"?
