Mom Sees Her Son's Hands From Picture Day And Sobs Over A Truth He Can No Longer Hide

Zeke is a high school kid that every parent would want to have. He recently took a yearbook photograph for school, which made his mom come to tears. The reason for her tears was the fact that her son had dirt under his fingernails during his picture. This is not something that would typically elicit an emotional response, but it was the story behind the dirt that made her cry.

She looked at her son and realized that while other kids are busy with activities after school, her son does manual work with nearly all of his free time. This made her think that she was raising her son incorrectly.

The fact that he works so hard convinced her that she has not been a good mother and has not given her son enough. She stated that she continued to cry over the next couple of days, but her son had an interesting response to the situation.

He laughed at her when she apologized and clearly didn't understand why she was sad about his work ethic. He stated that working is important to him, which is a skill he will continue to hold for the remainder of his life.

He understands the importance of a dollar and knows that something isn't just given to him. He has true satisfaction in his work and has achieved a level of maturity that is far beyond his age.

This is something that few kids are truly receiving these days. While his mother was upset by the fact that he had to work, the lesson that he received from that work is perhaps the biggest gift anyone can receive in life.

Being self-sufficient is monumental and is something that can take a person to amazing heights in life. Zeke truly has what it takes to build a great life, which is something that should be celebrated.

While the way his mother reacted is understandable, it is not the way we should look at hard work and success.

Far too many people let life pass them by and expect things to be handed out to them. Possessing a hard work ethic is something that is not easily attainable, which puts Zeke far ahead of the pack when it comes to the obstacles that life may throw at him.

His work has made him successful at his young age and there is no telling what he may achieve in the future. If you want your children to be successful in life, you should think about making them work for the things they receive.

What do you think about Zeke's mother's reaction? Would you have reacted the same way? Let me know in the comments and pass this along to your friends and family to see what they think, too!
