Mom Of 22, Sue Radford, Says Baby Heidie Has Been Smiling Since She Was One Month Old

Britain's biggest family welcomed their 22nd child into the world in April, Heidie Radford. Mom Sue Radford, 45, says Heidie has been melting the family's hearts with her ever-smiling face. The family from Morecambe in Lancashire posted a video of Heidie's arrival on their YouTube channel, The Radford Family.

The family’s new addition was born on April 3 after ten hours of labor, according to The Sun. The new baby joins Britain's biggest family, which now comprises of 22 siblings. Because of the family’s incredible size, it's reported that the Radfords pay £250 a week ($311) for groceries, which includes three cereal boxes per day for breakfast along with 18 pints of milk.

When asked about their newborn daughter’s birth, Sue said that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic had worried her given that she wanted her husband to be by her side in the hospital.

“I was more scared than I had ever been going into hospital with everything going on with the virus,” Sue told The Sun. “I was so worried that Noel wouldn’t be allowed to stay with me. We have all been isolating and it seemed wrong to leave our safe bubble to go to a hospital. But when I got there I felt safe straight away. It was the strangest birth yet but by the end of it I would say it was actually one of the best experiences I have had.”

Sue added that their new baby girl would be their last — though she’s said that before in their documentary and in other interviews.

The mom, from Morecambe, Lancashire, posted a sweet snap of Heidie laying alongside her sister Bonnie, one, showcasing a big cheeky smile. Sue wrote: "Oh my heart look at little Bon Bon kissing Heidie’s hand," with many commenting on the younger's sweet smile.

In a reply to a fan, Sue wrote: "Heidie has been smiling since just before she was 4 weeks which is the earliest any of ours have smiled."
