Mom Leaves Smiling Baby With Dad But As She Comes Home Baby’s Face Looks Unrecognizable

A home with a baby can be exhausting for many parents, especially for first-time parents who don't quite know what to expect. This doesn't mean that it can't be fun either. After all, an adorable baby makes the heart swell with joy, and the happiness that comes from raising a child cannot be compared to anything else. Mothers and fathers also could have different approaches when it comes to raising childred. When a mother decides to take some time out for herself to take a break from tending to her children, you know that dad will have a surprise up his sleeve for when she returns. But what kind of surprise?

In this adorable video from 2014, a dad named Bartosz decides to give his child Emily a little makeover as a surprise for when mom comes home.

In all families, every parent has their own method of raising a child. While one parent may be more laidback, another may have stricter rules. A home with parents that are equally invested in the wellbeing of their child, no matter their approach to parenting, is helpful to children of course. Interestingly, we often see the difference in parenting specifically between mothers and fathers. It could be due to the fact that the mother carried the child in her womb, which offers a different perspective for her about how she handles her baby. Fathers are generally seen as the ones who have fun with their babies in unique ways thanks to the myriad of videos and photographs on the internet of fathers with their babies and toddlers. This isn't to say that mothers don't have a humorous side to their babies of course! 

One mother left her baby with her dad while she was out of the house, and came back home to a hilarious surprise. What could have happened? Perhaps the dad dressed the baby up in funny clothing, had a humorous photoshoot, or just couldn’t get the baby to stop crying without the mother’s help. You never know what's going to happen when you leave a father in charge! Well, one dad named Bartosz decided to record his hilarious experience with his daughter while his wife was away and post it online for others to witness!

When the mother stepped out for the day, Bartosz decided it was perfect timing for a master plan. He was well aware that his plan was about to be one of the most hilarious moments between father and daughter. Thankfully, he posted the video of his surprise online for others to enjoy and uploaded it to his YouTube channel titled “Perfect Daddy.” The video has since gone viral, and already has over eight million views since it was first posted!

But what exactly did this father do?

The video begins with his daughter, Emily, playing around on her stomach in an adorable scene. She coos softly and gives her father the sweetest smile as he turns the camera to her. She is fully enjoying the presence of her dad and laughing along with him. Although the sight of her smiling is too adorable, her dad thought that she was missing a little something. He is definitely one of those fathers that love to use humor and he probably also knows that his little girl is one of the cutest babies out there. His next moves are part adorable and part priceless. 

He decided that his baby was missing some eyebrows! Although he didn’t actually put makeup on his baby, he applied some fake eyebrow stickers to her forehead. As he applies the first eyebrow, the baby's sweet face has the look of puzzlement, as though she has raised one eyebrow in a questioning manner. As the second one is placed on her other eyebrow, she begins exuding a "Eugene Levy" aura. All through this exercise, the little baby is in high spirits, just happy to enjoy the time with her dad. 

After she had her harsh statement eyebrows on, the baby Emily already looked hysterical, but he knew that he couldn't stop there. He decided that she also needed a mustache and beard. As the stickers come on, the little girl's face takes on a comical aspect, so much so that Bartosz couldn't keep his laughter in in any longer! He bursts out laughing, knowing that his work was a sort of masterpiece. The little baby, overjoyed that her father is having such a great time, joins in with her own adorable laughter. 

Once he applied the stickers, the baby was unrecognizable!

As the camera zooms out, the baby can't help but love her new stickers on her face even though she can't see herself. Maybe it was her father's happiness spilling over into the room, but for a few seconds after the stickers are placed, she gurgles with delight. The viewers cannot help but laugh along with it. We are certain that when the momma came back, she had a hoot herself!  It was a hilarious and lighthearted moment between father and daughter that won’t soon go forgotten. 

Interestingly, an article on Parents.com looks into the reason why fathers bond differently with babies. Studies have shown that the new millennium dads are much more involved in raising their children as compared to previous generations, but a large majority of fathers still feel as though they are "second chair" in their caregiving roles as compared to their wives. On top of that, fathers also say their relationship with their kids is more playful than their spouse, and that they are more a source of entertainment than the go-to parent "in the case of boo-boos and crying spells." When they are able to use this playfulness as a means to bonding, they also report that they feel more connected to their child. 

Alan Beck told Parent.com that until he hoisted his son up and make him "fly" like "superman," he did not feel connected to the baby. He said, "Before that, I had a sense that my son didn't really know me. I often felt like I was the wacky neighbor who came over and did funny stuff to entertain him but who didn't have a leading role." However, this isn't to say that fathers cannot connect to their children like mothers. Hormonally, men are also primed for having a baby at home, and that by spending more time with their baby, a study suggests that "men are just as attuned as women to a baby's cues and just as capable of responding appropriately."
