Mom Lashes Out At People Criticizing Her For Having Fun And Leaving Kids With Their Dad

Moms are always there for us whenever we need them. If there’s someone who’s really one call away, it’s our moms. Moms have proven that time and again – not to mention the sacrifices they have made and the sleepless nights they had to endure just to make sure they give us the best possible kind of life. They are always there for us during the most difficult moments of our life, sharing life lessons we carry with us for the rest of our lives. But the thing is, moms need to have some fun, too. While they deserve to have a break, the internet doesn’t always seem to agree with the idea.

Ashy Bines is a fitness influencer and a mom of two who left her then-4-month-old baby with her husband for two days. Yes, you read that right: two days. But some of her followers thought it was.

In her defense, she said she simply wanted to experience the fun side of life even though she is now a parent. So, she took to Instagram to defend herself from all the bashing she had been receiving following her.

Bines then shared a photo of her carrying her baby moments before she left for the airport. She also thanked her husband, Steven Evans, for taking over mommy duties while she was away.

“Moments before I balled my eyes out at the airport leaving my baby. Nearly 48 hours …. I’ve got this! Feels like an arm is missing but dad is sending me loads of videos and nailing solo dad life lol! So lucky to have my family,” she said.

She then addressed the hurtful words thrown against her, explaining that she also wanted to have some fun. 

She further stated that she knew she didn’t have to worry about her children because they were in safe hands.

“I know judgment has come flying my way leaving her for 48 hours BUT hear me out,” she said. I LOVE my baby and fully trust and love Steve having his bonding time with the kids and can enjoy myself knowing they are happy and safe,” she stated.

Bines also shared one of the messages she received, saying it’s completely wrong to insinuate that she left her children in the wrong hands.

“One DM (Direct Message) this morning was ‘how COULD you leave your baby with Steve for that long that’s so wrong.’ I think it’s wrong for other women to think it’s wrong (to) send such a message and also why would I have children with someone I don’t trust? Wrong to leave my kids with their dad? If a dad went away for 48 hours he’s never even questioned?” she said.

She went on to write an inspiring message for other moms.

“Mummas let’s be kind to one another and not project or send hate to another mum who’s doing her thing. Might not feel right for you and that’s ok, we all do exactly what feels good for us,” she remarked.

“PS: this message didn’t upset me at all, not in the slightest - but did inspire me to write this caption to have a conversation or create awareness for mummas, and remind other mums it's ok for you to have a life and enjoy other parts of your life not just mum life OR just need a break,” she ended.
