Giving birth to your first child is a scary experience that is made even more complicated and emotional through a premature birth.

Mother Natasha Bjork Johnson from Grimsby in the UK, experienced the love and pain of childbirth when she gave birth to her premature daughter, Freya, at just 26 weeks. Immediately rushed to the NICU, Natasha was unable to hold her firstborn directly afterward, but when the moment came to hold her baby, it brought on pure emotion.

Life is fragile, especially for a newborn who was not yet ready to arrive. Along with being hooked up to machines for breathing assistance, baby Freya needed help to simply stay alive, reports FaithPot.

By her side for weeks, mother Natasha wondered when she would ever be able to hold her fragile little girl. When the day finally came, it was just as emotional as you might imagine. This clip shows the moment when Natasha is able to touch and hold her first-born child. It is simply precious.
