Mom Hides Her Chocolate Stash From Kids In A Frozen Veg Pack

If you’re a parent, then you’ve been there. You’ve waited till the kids went to bed after an exhausting night of trick-or-treating to feverishly rifle through their Halloween candy looking for your favorites. Well, one mom took the secret candy smuggling to a whole new level, and we’re inspired. As were the 66,000 people who shared her social media post. 

This unnamed hero of parental innovation probably experienced what all parents do at some point: the impossibility of keeping greedy little hands out of her candy stash. Necessity is truly the mother of invention, and this mom came up with the genius idea to hide the candy where the kids would never look: a bag of frozen veggies.

Her creative approach went viral on Facebook and was hailed by other sweet-loving parents, invoking them to share their own sneaky approaches to hoarding the chocolate. It was even reported on here at The Birmingham Mail. The clever mom posted two pictures: one with what appears to be a clipped bag of frozen veggies, and the other with the bag open, revealing the hidden treasure.She added her post to a Facebook parenting group stating, “Let’s see the kids find this stash.”

Considering the difficulty of getting kids to finish their dinner before begging for dessert, this woman has been applauded for her creative and effective efforts.One fellow parent commented, “I know where I’m hiding my stash of goodies from now on!” Another chimed in, “My mom has been doing this for ages, and hiding a whole bottle of alcohol in veggie bags too.”

Unfortunately, if her kids are old enough to be aware of social media, she’ll probably have to find a new hiding place from here on out. But luckily, she can steal an idea from one of the other savvy parents that shared their own clever hiding spots like the washing machine or an empty can of diet milkshake powder.
