Mom Has Beautiful Response After Boy Tells Her Daughter To Cover Cancer Scars

The number of cancer cases has been rising over the years. This disease attacks, women, men, and children alike.
The only way to be free of cancer is if it's detected early and the right treatment is administered immediately. Treatment for cancer is not an easy thing to go through. Patients get scars.
One boy was not happy when he saw a little girl's cancer scars, and he told her to cover them. Her mother's response to this was amazing.
How it Happened
Claire Russell is a 9-year-old girl living with bone cancer. She was only four years old when she was diagnosed with the disease. You can only imagine what she has been going through for the past five years.
“My daughter was diagnosed with cancer at four years old. Four. Years. Old. Bone cancer, Ewings Sarcoma.”
Her mother, Michelle Russell, shared this story on Instagram. She said that Claire had never been to school or ridden a bike. She spends a lot of her time in a tutu. Claire would go through more suffering and pain than most grown-ups experience in their lives.

Even more heartbreaking is the fact that Claire attends funerals of those who have lost their cancer battles. She has lost all her hair and muscle mass, and she spends most of her time in hospitals for treatments and surgeries.
In one year, Claire had gone through 17 chemotherapy rounds, multiple surgeries such as ribs and spinal sheath removal. Her doctors then said she was in remission.
Claire's future looks happier though she has scars showing what she went through in her fight against cancer. However, she is proud of her scars because they remind her what she fought at a tender age.
Unfortunately, a boy told her to cover up her scars because they scared him. Any mother would be angry just as Michelle was, but she remembered that the boy knows nothing about what the scars represented.
Claire was hurt by the boy's comments. So her mother tried to encourage her. She told Claire that her story behind the scars is incredible and that she should be proud of the things she has overcome. Michelle wanted her daughter to think of the other little girls she's met who will get scars like hers.
'Her little body may be scarred, but it tells a story of perseverance and hope. I wish no child, or adult, would ever feel the need to cover their scars.' wrote Claire about the incident.
Of course, Claire wouldn't want the girls to hide their scars. She realized that she was amazing and beautiful with the scars.
