Mom Greases Pole So Squirrels Can't Reach Bird Feeder And The Result Will Make You Laugh Out Loud

One mom was so sick of squirrels stealing food from her bird feeder, that she devised a clever plan that is making the internet crack up. Squirrels, though cute with their bushy little tails, can be a total nuisance in the garden.

Not only do they chew through electrical wires and terrorize pets, they’re known for destroying gardens and eating bird seed.

The last thing you want to do is harm or kill squirrels to keep them out of your lawn or garden, so sometimes you have to get a bit crafty. When one squirrel kept climbing up the pole of a bird feeder in a mom’s backyard, she knew she had to do something to make it difficult for the squirrel to reach the seeds.

Since squirrels are persistent and clever, the mom needed to be one step ahead of the sneaky pest if she wanted to stop it.
 

Her solution is absolutely genius!

The creative mom greased the pole of her bird feeder so that it was nice and slick. Then, she waited.
 

Sure enough, a squirrel approached for its midday snack, and jumped onto the pole like usual hoping to climb up. Mom took out her phone and filmed what happened next!
