Amanda Ennis reported her 3-year-old son, Noah Clare, missing on Nov. 7 after the boy’s father, Jacob Clare, failed to return the child to her Gallatin, Tennessee, home, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

On Nov. 17, police released surveillance footage of three people, whom authorities believed to be Jacob Clare, Noah and the boy’s cousin, Amber Clare. But Fox 17 Nashville reports that police would not have been able to locate Noah without the help of Julia Bonin. Bonin, a mother herself, called authorities when she saw a boy matching Noah’s description at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California, while she was on the way to drop her own son off at school.

Police finally located Noah and Amber on Thursday, Nov. 18, outside of San Clemente, California, a city within Orange County. Noah and Amber were safe when police found the children.

“We are so grateful for residents like Julia! Thank you for calling in and helping us reunite Noah with his family,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. “Julia saw a boy matching Noah’s description at Doheny State Beach while on her way to dropping off her son at school. She trusted her instincts to call and returned to the beach to provide information to help our deputies make contact with Noah.”

Thanks to Bonin, a concerned citizen, 3-year-old Noah was able to reunite with his mother on Nov. 18, 11 days after the young boy was taken. The Orange County Sheriff's Department uploaded the emotional reunion to Facebook, where it has more than 600,000 views.

The short video shows Noah as he runs into his tearful mother’s arms and as he greets other family members.

“Words cannot describe the feeling of him jumping into my arms and not wanting to let go. I swear we sat and cried on the floor holding each other for 10 minutes. Noah, mommy loves you more than you will ever know. It’s you and me baby, forever and ever!!” Noah’s mother, Ennis, wrote on Facebook.

The Sheriff Department’s video accumulated hundreds of comments from strangers who were struck by the moving clip.

“I am thrilled to see a happy ending. There are way too few (of) these. I know I'd probably not let my child out of my sight after this trauma. Blessings to the family and loved ones,” Somers Rae wrote on Facebook.

“Brings tears to my eyes. I'm so grateful this is how the story ended. Thank you to that mom who spotted them to make this reunion a reality. Continued prayers for this family! Welcome Home Noah! ❤️” Melissa Gigandet Hill added.

According to Fox 17 Nashville, Jacob Clare is in custody. The Associated Press further reports that he has been charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping.

After Noah was reported missing, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation discovered that Jacob Clare was driving a silver Subaru Outback filled with camping gear and clothing. Jacob Clare later abandoned the car — which authorities believe he purchased a week before the kidnapping — in San Clemente, California, on Nov 13.

On Nov. 23, ABC 6 Knoxville reported that 37-year-old Marisa Henson of Wilson County was also arrested in connection with the kidnapping.
